Trust Telecom Company was established in mid-2015 and began offering Fiber to the Home (FTTH) services during 2016–2017. Initially, the company secured an exclusive 15-year contract with Kurdistan Net Company as an Internet Service Provider (ISP) to deliver services across 15 zones in the Erbil Governorate in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq

Initially, the company secured an exclusive 15-year contract with Kurdistan Net Company as an Internet Service Provider (ISP) to deliver services across 15 zones in the Erbil Governorate in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. Through this collaboration, Trust Telecom has successfully established a total of 20,892 clients and available ports, with 11,769 active residential and business customers. This achievement demonstrates the company’s strong commitment to delivering robust, reliable internet services and advanced network solutions under the ONET services brand in the region.
In 2021, Trust Telecom expanded its operations internationally by establishing Trust Telecom Dubai FZE. The Dubai entity specializes in Information Technology and network services, management consultancy, and project management services. Through this expansion, the company collaborates with various organizations worldwide, providing consultancy expertise and comprehensive project management solutions across multiple sectors.

A communications signal is sent by optical fiber through FTTH from the operator's switching hardware all the way to a residence or commercial building. FTTH is a relatively new and quickly expanding means of giving customers and companies significantly greater bandwidth, enabling more sophisticated video, internet, and telephony services.

Direct fiber optic cable connections to residences allow for significant increases in the amount of available bandwidth for customers.
Up to 250 megabits per second of two-way communication speed is currently possible with fiber optic technology. Additionally, even as DSL and cable modem providers struggle to get incrementally more bandwidth out of their technologies, ongoing advancements in fiber optic equipment are steadily boosting the amount of bandwidth that can be used without changing the fiber. The "Future" of fiber networks is attributed to this.
